A large-scale, new-to-science, porphyry copper-gold prospect ready for its first-ever drilling, in 2026

A Flagship Prospect in the Golden Triangle

The flagship of Oreterra's asset portfolio is the wholly owned, newly drill-permitted Trek South porphyry copper-gold prospect. Trek South is located on the 6,379-hectare Trek property in the heart of British Columbia’s Golden Triangle. Effectively new to modern geological science, the prospect has emerged over the past five years, with its potential becoming particularly clear in 2023. Trek South has never been drilled.

Strategic Location and Infrastructure Advantage

Trek South is advantageously positioned just 10 kilometres from the Galore Creek porphyry copper-gold-silver deposits, currently at the pre-feasibility stage and held by Galore Creek Mining Corporation—a 50/50 joint venture between AngloTeck and Newmont. The prospect lies only 3 kilometres from an all-weather gravel road partially constructed to the Trek property boundary, along with a dormant work camp and equipment owned by GCMC. A central 43-kilometre section of this road remains to be completed, with Canadian government funding support announced in fall 2024. The Trek property is subject to a 2% Net Smelter Returns (NSR) royalty.

A Large, Coherent Mineralized System

Exploration carried out by the Company since2021 has outlined an approximately 1.6 × 1 kilometre zone of intense porphyry-style alteration comprising intense, pervasive epidote alteration, overprinted byred garnet-epidote skarn veins and bands, the whole overprinted again by a kilometre wide stockwork of quartz-pyrite veining, locally cross-cut by mineralized metre-scale biotite porphyry dykes and, throughout the area, visible copper mineralization in veins and wallrock, and values of copper, gold, silver, tungsten, molybdenum and other elements returned from laboratory assays.

Geoscience Results That Point to Scale

The mineralized footprint overlies a large magnetic high—commonly associated in porphyry systems with a potassically altered, higher-grade intrusive core. This is coincident with a strong induced polarization chargeability anomaly (+40 mV/v) and a deep-running (>2 km) magnetotelluric anomaly suggestive of a sizeable intrusive body extending to depth. Together, these complementary geoscientific datasets consistently vector toward a single conclusion: that Trek South represents a target with high discovery potential.

First-Ever Drill Program Planned

A NationalInstrument 43-101 technical report on the Trek property was completed early inJanuary this year.  The report recommends an initial two-phase diamond drill program for the Trek South prospect.  Phase One would comprise 4,650 metres in 8 widely spaced angled core holes targeting the prominent magnetic high and coincident induced polarization (IP) chargeability high and IP resistivity low, present below the large area of intense porphyry-style alteration and values of copper, gold and silver in bedrock.  The work would be carried out from an on-site camp with helicopter support.  Subject to success, a second phase of drilling would be executed, encompassing a further 4,600 metres of drilling in 8 widely spaced angled core holes.

Additional High-Quality Targets on the Trek Property

Beyond Trek South, the Trek property hosts several historically recognized showings and prospects. These include Trek North, a legitimate Galore Creek–style porphyry copper-gold discovery advanced by the Company between 2008 and 2011, as well as the Toe prospect, a possible Eskay Creek–style precious metals target that has never been drilled. The Company plans further work on both prospects.

A District-Scale Land Position

In addition to the Trek property, Oreterra holds a portfolio of nearby properties that further strengthen its regional footprint. These include the NSR-free 614-hectare JW project; the 616-hectare Royce property (subject to a 1% NSR); the NSR-free Andrei claims (15,678 ha); Trek SW claims (8,994 ha); Red Line property (3,989 ha); RL South property (1,645 ha); and the NSR-free Burt claims (891 ha).
