We are not miners. Our focus is exploration. Our goal is to achieve large scale discoveries, thereby providing our shareholders with the capital gains opportunities that will generally flow from such discoveries.
Our preferred metals are copper and gold. Our preferred targets are ‘porphyry copper-gold’. Our preferred jurisdictions are Canada and the U.S. We prefer porphyries because relative to other deposit styles such as high-grade narrow vein systems, they generally require comparatively modest levels of drilling, and comparatively modest capital outlays, to generate NI 43-101-compliant mineral resources. We like them too as porphyries are much in demand by the majors for their potential as long-life mines.
At our Trek South prospect in BC, we believe we’re close on the trail of a potentially major new discovery, so stay tuned as we advance to first-ever drilling in the approaching 2026 field season. Trek South has everything that excites us as explorationists: a vast area of for the most part bare rock devoid ofvegetation in which is visible intense porphyry-style alteration, including pervasive epidote, overprinted by red garnet-epidote skarn veins and bands indicative of proximity to a source intrusion, overprinted again by a kilometre wide stockwork of quartz-pyrite veining, locally cross-cut by mineralized metre-scale biotite porphyry dykes and, throughout the area, visible copper mineralization in veins and wallrock, and values of copper, gold, silver, tungsten, molybdenum and other elements returned from laboratory assays.
And yet there is more: below the alteration, visible mineralization, and metal values geophysical surveys have returned strongly positive, coincident, induced polarization chargeability, magnetic, and magneto-telluric anomalies. All of these results, combined, are suggestive of a large-scale porphyry system running from surface to more than 2kms depth.
